A characteristic feature of Rivka Rinn’s work is what can be called an enhanced consciousness of the motion dynamics. Her photographs convey the message of instability of places, of their inability to take root.
Her pictures give us the feeling of being in constant motion and reveal locomotive nature of our surroundings. They resemble an analysis of a potential journey: vehicles, railway tracks, platforms, roads, tunnels, clouds, bare hotel rooms. An auxiliary landscape implantation: shop windows full of lucid landscape snapshots.
Not so much portraits but flashbacks of faces. Between recollection and anticipation of places. Details, fragments we carry with us for the rest of the journey of our lives not knowing why.
